Who we are

Sundown Coatings sells ceramic roof and wall coating in five-gallon buckets and arranges managed installation through independent bonded and insured contractors. These terms apply to every order placed through this site.

What is being sold

Roof Coat and Clear Coat are sold in five-gallon buckets only: $445 for one bucket, $420 each for two or three, $395 each for four to nine, and $370 each for ten or more shipped on a pallet. Every order includes the written application guide, which is also published at sundowncoatings.com/guide. Prices exclude shipping, which is shown as its own line by region before you pay. We do not sell one-gallon cans.

Managed installation is quoted from the measured roof and is never quoted from a chart, a photograph or a phone call.

What we publish

The coating publishes 0.88 initial solar reflectance, 0.89 thermal emittance and 0.74 reflectance at three years. Those are lab-measured properties of the coating. Coverage is specified at roughly 32 square feet per gallon of total finished coverage on flat surfaces and roughly 75 on sloped, across two to three coats. Final quantity always follows the measured surface.

What we do not promise

We do not promise a temperature drop, in degrees or otherwise. We do not promise energy savings, a dollar figure, a percentage off a utility bill or a payback period. We do not state an R-value; this is a surface coating and not insulation. We do not represent the product as fireproof or fire rated. Any third-party research referenced on this site describes a product category and is not a representation about your building.

Nothing said by any representative, including our voice line, varies these terms. If someone tells you a number that does not appear here, it is not part of your contract.

Orders and payment

An order is accepted when we confirm it in writing, which is the confirmation email sent to the address you gave at checkout, normally within minutes of payment. We may decline or cancel an order — including for pricing errors, stock, or a delivery address we cannot serve — and where we do, you are refunded in full.

Card numbers are never taken by voice. Nobody at Sundown will ask you to read a card number over the phone, and if someone does, it is not us.

Where a pay-over-time provider is offered, approval and terms are set by that provider and not by us. The price of the order is the same whichever way you pay; any interest or fee is between you and the provider, disclosed on their screen before you confirm. We do not finance and we add no surcharge.

Application is yours

Surface preparation and application are the responsibility of whoever performs them. New galvanised, weathered galvanised, previously painted metal, EPDM, TPO, fibreglass and existing coatings do not share one preparation recipe. Follow the application guide for your substrate. Product applied outside its stated conditions — including over an unqualified substrate, at the wrong spread rate, or in freezing or wet conditions — is outside any warranty.

Returns

Unopened product may be returned within 30 days of delivery for a full refund of the product price. Opened product cannot be returned. The returns policy governs.

Limits

Our liability on any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of use, lost income, or the cost of other work performed on or around the coated surface.

Nothing here limits any right you have that cannot be limited by law.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when your order is confirmed.
